SCHOOL FOUNDATION DAY - 17TH MAY, 2009

On 17th May, 2009 CTAS celebrated its school foundation day. The school was established in the year 1999 coinciding with the 25 years of His Majesty the 4th King’s glorious reign. The school started with 3 students in 1999 and at present it has over 98 students studying in the campus. The chief guest was Hon’ble Dasho Dr. Sonam Tenzin, Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Human Resources.  In his address to the students, he emphasised on the importance of preserving and promoting the age old tradition and culture of our country. Each and every student has an important role to play in promoting our unique identity of our country. The day was celebrated amid various cultural programs, mask dances and a big feast of traditional Bhutanese food. The day came to an end with the dancing and singing of Tashi-Labey!!! (A traditional dance of ending an important celebration)
